Potable Water
SIPP is an ideal solution for potable water systems. We apply an epoxy with NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 certification that has decades of safe history in the potable water industry. Not only does our process structurally rehabilitate the pipes, it minimizes service interruption for customers, significantly increases and preserves future flow capacity, does not seal off service laterals or branches down to ¾”, and prevents contaminants like lead and asbestos from leaching into the drinking water.
-
Sewer Force Main
SIPP technology accommodates the complex geometry of a piping system, following its bends and turns, and the coating resists deterioration from abrasion. Because we apply the epoxy directly to the host pipe, it can withstand high pressure without separating, making it a perfect solution for sewer force main rehabilitations.
-
Gravity Sewer
For sewer systems with larger diameters, a complex geometry, deep manholes and other unique issues, SIPP can be the right solution. The epoxy protects against future corrosion caused by H2S gases, avoids the undesirable annulus associated with other approaches such as CIPP, and installs a barrier between the effluent and its surroundings that can help prevent root intrusion and its associated system degradation.
-
Storm Sewer
SIPP technology addresses complex system geometries, and the cured epoxy handles strong head pressures. The epoxy has an elasticity that permits movement with the pipe under pressure, maintaining the integrity of the system and helping to prevent dislocation from surges. Epoxy also prevents internal corrosion of the pipe which are prevalent at the base of storm pipes, extending its useful life by decades.
-
Outfalls
As outfalls are often located in environmentally sensitive locations with challenging access, they are perfect candidates for the use of SIPP technology. The significant structural enhancement of the high build epoxy system allows us to address deficiencies in an existing system with minimal disturbance to its surroundings and without having to access the pipes from within the adjacent body of water. We use environmentally friendly materials that are safe for aquatic life.
-
HVAC
Whether they be hot or chilled water lines, many HVAC systems have been installed behind walls or under slabs. SIPP technology permits us to access these systems with minimal demolition, inconvenience and expense. The epoxy coating not only withstands the varying temperatures, but it also provides a layer of insulation that enhances the thermal efficiency of these systems for the future.
-
Steam Condensate Lines
SIPP is a great approach to rehabilitating steam condensate lines. The epoxy coating not only withstands the high temperatures, it provides a layer of insulation that enhances the thermal efficiency of these systems for the future.
-
Forced Air or Vacuum Systems
SIPP technology can be applied to virtually any piping system, even those without fluids. The epoxy coating seals pinholes, which are common in these systems, and prevents new ones, extending the life of any system while reducing air friction and enhancing its efficiency.
-
Drain Pipes
Drainage pipes are often installed around other systems and tend to have complex geometries. Common failures such as bellying, settlement, and calcification are all rehabilitated with our SIPP process and the high build epoxy’s structural enhancements prevent them from developing in the future.
-
Fire Suppression
Many fire suppression systems have been filled with water for years, slowly and steadily corroding from within. This tuberculation degenerates their capability to deliver water when called upon in an emergency. SIPP technology can restore the original diameter of the piping, ensuring the system’s hydraulic capacity will meet its intended design specifications. The cured epoxy coating creates a barrier between the water and host pipe, preventing future corrosion from returning for decades.
